Due to the difficulties the British Chess Problem Society are having organising a composing tourney in memory of their late, distinguished colleague, chess problemist Barry Barnes, a small group of Barry’s friends have got together to run a tourney themselves. It will be open to all chess composers in all countries, as Barry would have wished.

It will be a theme tourney devised by David Shire and will be judged by him. It will be directed by Brian Stephenson. The announcement will be posted here in due course, as will the award.
